Post-Screening discussions (2!) of Icebox and Bauhaus Spirit

There will be two post-screening discussions this week at IC. The first will be by Prof. Carolina Núñez (Law School) following the Thursday (19 Sept.)  5pm screening of Icebox. The post-screening discussion will begin about 6:45pm after the film ends. The second post-screening discussion will be hosted by Profs. Richard Fry and David Morgan (both from Industrial Design) following the Saturday (21 Sept.) 2:10pm screening of Bauhaus Spirit. This discussion will begin about 4pm after the film ends.

 

Fall 2019, Episode 2: Rethinking Stereotypes

This week we preview the films for IC’s first full week of the fall semester including Jon Chu’s smash hit Crazy Rich Asians (English/Mandarin, 2018), the 2018 Palme d’Or winner at Canne Shoplifters (Hirokazu Koreeda, Japanese, 2018), the classic film noir Double Indemnity (Billy Wilder, English, 1944), and the documentary Apollo 11 (Todd Douglas Miller, English, 2019). For those wanting to hear a discussion of last week’s films they can find them on the episodes from last semester including Transit (W19 episode 11) and Mirai (in W19 episode 13).
